Proper Skin Exfoliation Is Needed Before You Spread A Sun Sunless Tanning Lotion

For any self tanner product, it will only adhere well on skin if you have cleaned the body of things like salts, oils, and dirt. After you have chosen your Sun Sunless tanning lotion, it will require you to plan on how you will apply it. Of course, you will need to have a great deal of preparing the skin.

In exfoliating, it is important to know how to do it so that you open up the pores and leave skin surface clear. When taking the shower, you should give more attention to the folded and rough areas of the body since they usually hold a lot of dead skin. When it comes to moisturizing the body, you should apply the moisturizer on the rough and hard areas of the body so as to make them soft.

You might need a helping hand of another person to do the application on your back if you are doing the process at home. Nonetheless, ensure you prepare both the body and the environment in which you are doing your tan procedure. The skin needs to be cleaned thoroughly, and this time not just removing the dirt but also ensuring that you free the pores of materials that might be clogging them. This is why exfoliation of skin is recommended.

Because these dry areas like the elbows, knees, and feet tend to resist the penetration of tan, you might also want to apply a little moisturizer or some light normal make up lotion. Generally, moisturizers need not be used when you want to tan your body. The moisturizers, typical lotions, and other skin products you use everyday might need to be skipped during the time you tan the body.

The hair along the facial hairline and the other body needs to be cut. Shaving is done at the correct timing before you put anything on skin. It is advisable you do the shaving and waxing a day or two before you tan. This is in order to allow the skin to heal and become insensitive.

When you exfoliate skin, you allow the ingredients to effectively infiltrate skin and cause the change in color. This color change is temporary and will fade away with time. It may take about five or so day before the self tan color begins to fade away. What happens is that the color comes out when the skin sloughs and removes those dead cells.

Allowing the skin to stay for about one or two days after shaving will ensure that the moment you apply your tan, it will have already healed and not very sensitive. When applying, if there are parts that take a lot of tan, you can use a damp washcloth or towel to wipe away the excess tan. This will prevent some parts from becoming too orangey than others.

If you have excess tan in some areas, it will penetrate the skin and make that area appear too dark shaded or too orangey than others. These are the main issues that you should take into keen consideration before applying self tanners. Once you are able to do these, you will get the tan you desire without creating imperfections like blotches and streaks on skin or patches of too much tan in some areas than others.
