Stress Management Minority Nurses Guide

It is no longer a question if nurses are stress in their jobs or not, that is already a statement. With the kind of work that they do, going here and there to attend patients and to assist doctor, they sure are busy when they do their job. Sometimes they are unable to eat during meal hours, that is how busy they are.

Study shows that almost ninety percent of them experiences moderate to high level of stress. When stressed, your health is affected so your job will be affected too and so does your personal life creating a domino effect. This article will provide with tips for stress management minority nurses.

Mood swings can be seen in a person who is dealing with such. Due to being in that state, you easily get tired from doing anything leading you in getting irritated easily. This lead to you not being able to take care of yourself due to lack of time and having no interest of doing various things or you are too busy in the hospital so all you think about is to go home and take a rest.

If you ask the dictionary, stress is described as a response by our body and mind when a person overworked his or her brain and body. When in that state, what your body does is it put itself on defense mode. Resulting to, increased in heart rate, tightened muscles, and your senses on alert mode which is the way of the body in dealing with such problem.

If you want to become healthy and remain like that, you need to be able to take good care of yourself. By preparing healthy foods, taking vitamins, exercising, and doing things that will make you happy. Go out with your friends sometimes to remain happy. A happy person is a healthy person.

One of most effective solution is to just ignore all the negativity away. It is not only the work that stressed them but the negativity in life. When you are in a situation where in you find yourself dealing with stressful conversation or work like when at work you have to deal with people whom you do not like, all you got to do is just leave them be and ignore them.

Now, there are cases when you cannot just get way for it. If this is the case, what you could do is to take a deep breath and count from one to ten then brace for the impact ahead. Deal with the situation as calmly as you can. This may be difficult to face but in order to get away from such you have to do this.

Since breathing is affected during stressful moments, proper breathing exercise can greatly help. Do this often and get yourself used by it. So the moment you are in the same situation again you will automatically do the same process. By then, you will longer be stress easily during the job.

Calm yourself. Being calm in almost anything is what needs to be done. Doing your job calmly without panicking specially during peak hours will not help you deal with the situation, instead it will worsen it. So, be calm and give yourself time to relax even if its just a few seconds, this will already help to avoid getting stressed.
